She has worked as a massage therapist with Lee Memorial Healthy Life Centers (now WellWay) since 2014 . Deborah is also a Clinical Medical Assistant graduating from Edison State College in 2012. She worked part-time as a medical assistant in a chiropractic/medical clinic. She has taught aromatherapy massage to postsecondary students. Her background has been in the medical field since 1978. Before pursuing her massage therapy career she worked as a medical transcriptionist in the speciality fields of radiology, orthopedics, neurology, plastic surgery, rehabilitative health services and in hospital medical records. Deborah’s scope of practice is geared towards, but not limited to, the medical end of the spectrum. Her main area of expertise is in pain management, rehabilitation and stress relief. She has a diverse background in medical knowledge, clinical skills, and holistic experiences which highly complements her compassionate assistance to the healing. Over the past 30+ years she has honed her skills in myofascial release techniques, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, lymphatic massage and other modalities. With a compassionate, present touch, Deborah supports people in finding relief from chronic pain and tension, discovering a higher level of wellness, and striving for a better quality of life. Her capacity to listen deeply to the person and to the intelligence and health of the body is a key component of her work. She is continually awed at the body’s ability to restore balance and wellbeing when we slow down and connect to the healing forces always present in the body. She is a member in good standing with the National Certified Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, American Massage & Bodywork Professionals, Florida State Massage Therapy Association. Deborah enjoys gardening, outdoor concerts, theater, and photography. “Making a difference one person at a time……” Deborah Sue Wooters, LMT, CMA
