If you experience pain, mental and emotional stress, or other physical symptoms, Acupuncture and Cupping can be an incredibly useful tool to incorporate into your health and wellness plan. These treatments can support the immune system, chronic health conditions, improve energy, hormone balance, skin health, pain management, headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and more.
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture releases endorphins, which block pain and boost the immune system. This ancient treatment uses needles to trigger specific points along meridians in the body to clear blockages in energy flow, which help relieve pain and support recovery from disease.
What is Fire Cupping?
Fire Cupping promotes a reduction in musculoskeletal pain and inflammation and helps speed the healing of soft tissue injuries. Fire Cupping is a non-invasive treatment that uses glass cups, which suction onto the skin with a flame, in order to encourage blood flow and increase circulation.
What are Acupuncture sessions like? What should I expect on my first visit?
Acupuncture sessions are designed to be a very relaxing experience. You will spend time with your practitioner discussing symptoms and concerns to determine the best course of treatment. Your session will begin with a relaxation process, followed by the insertion of strategically placed hair-thin acupuncture needles. Acupuncture needles will be left inserted for at least 20 minutes. Afterward, you may feel energized or tired depending on your goals and how you respond to treatment. You may notice an improvement in symptoms right away or it might take several treatments. Most people feel extremely relaxed with an improved sense of well-being.
How should I prepare before and after a treatment?
To ensure you are relaxed, please do not arrive on an empty stomach, drink caffeine or engage in stressful activity before or after your treatment session. Loose fitting clothing is recommended.
